TRASHLIGHT VISION Sign Japanese Deal For 'Alibis And Ammunition'

March 12, 2006

TRASHLIGHT VISION, the new band featuring MURDERDOLLS guitarist Acey Slade, have signed a Japanese deal with The Firewall Division for the release of their debut album, "Alibis and Ammunition". The CD will be issued in Europe on April 17 via Undergroove Records, with the Japanese release to follow on April 19. A North American release date for the album has yet to be announced.

The band formed in 2004, but have a longer history as Acey and bassist Roger "Rags" Segal met while working in a metal accessory and porn store. Acey went on to fight a personal battle with addiction, when he eventually kicked the habit he met Steve Haley (guitar) going through the same program. In 2002 Acey was asked to join Joey Jordison's band MURDERDOLLS and in 2004 took the first opportunity to form TRASHLIGHT VISION with his old friends and recruited final member Len Thomas (drums). They wrote the album while all sharing a home/rehearsal area/workshop in Philadelphia.

TRASHLIGHT VISION shot a video for the song "Allergic to You" with director Dale Resteghini (MUDVAYNE, HATEBREED, FALL OUT BOY, TRIVIUM) on Sunday, February 26 in Brooklyn, New York.

TRASHLIGHT VISION recently uploaded two tracks from "Alibis and Ammunition" at this location. The songs available for download are "Allergic to You" and "Black Apples".

As previously reported, TRASHLIGHT VISION have been confirmed for the sixth annual CrueFest Hollywood, set to take place July 15 at Whisky A Go-Go in Hollywood, California. Also scheduled to appear are the MÖTLEY CRÜE tribute band TRUE 2 CRUE, SABRINA KORVA, KID EGO, and VAINS OF JENNA.
